I take pictures of just about everything... and sometimes the most random things. Even I look back sometimes and think why on earth did I take a picture of that? But, the things people take pictures of really say a lot about who a person is and what they like. I thought I'd share "my life according to my iphone" inspired by my lovely friend Michelle "Mupnorth"

At the mall today! Bought the RIGHT color in the Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Foundation and tried on Chanel "Gabrielle" lipstick. I think me likes.

SO NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS GIFT, clearly! :)

How I healed up acne QUICKLY

Ok, so I know I just did a post on skincare and how it worked for me...sometimes your skin has other plans that may be out of your control. Whether it be hormones, stress or a new medication. As well as my skin was responding to certain skincare products something can come along and mess that all up.

I have suffered from A.D.D for about 15 years but didn't do anything about it. I felt so overwhelmed by life sometimes because simple tasks like staying on top of laundry and putting it away right away, or finishing a project and putting it away. My brain just couldn't do it in a timely manner. So, I started on a A.D.D medication called Vyvance. It was a life changer. Laundry was done and put away nightly, every drawer/space in my house was organized, my house was spotless.... but then things changed... my face was not spotless. It was MESS! I have never suffered from acne so I didn't know what to do. It was very depressing! My life was in control but my skin was not. The acne I suffered from was almost like cystic spots (not popable), then scabbed up and just wouldn't heal.

I started to research and almost healed my face in less than a week!

Firstly, I took myself off of the medication. I am starting on a lower dose to see how that goes.

I bought the Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask. First night I used it as a mask and left it on for 5 minutes. Then, I applied the CVS version "Targeted acne Spot Treatment" of the Neutrogena On-the-spot several times away. When treating acne they say Benzoyl Peroxide and more Benzoyl Peroxide. This can be drying so you have to be careful but it works. Since my face was so sensitive and most likely would be getting dry, a oil free/fragrance free moisturizer is muy importante! I had a sample of Peter Thomas Roth Oil-Free Moisturizer and it worked so nicely! After a few days when my skin was starting to clear up I started to use a pea size amount of my Tretinoin 0.25% (Retin-A) at night.

Washing your face twice a day is important and not touching your spots! Dry with a CLEAN towel.

It's been about a week since I've started healing my face and it's about 75% back to normal. Now, I'm going to have to tackle the task of scaring and dark spots.

As you can see it's NOT the worst acne a person can have but it's for sure not good. The spots were on both side of my face, on my chin and a lot by my nose. It's always have relatively clear skin so this was very disheartening.

Yes, I know that I am wearing make up here so that can cover up a lot but when bumpy acne but can't really hide that. I am wearing the Bobbi Brown Extra Repair foundation which is sorta like a tinted moisturizer so I am by no means wearing a thick foundation.

I just wanted to share this with you so you know there is HOPE! With the right products you can heal your skin... it doesn't happen instantly and takes time but it can heal!

It's very rare that I go through something so fast and feel the urgency to reorder right away. I could conciser myself an experimental skincare junkie with the pinging hope I will find something that really blows me away and works exceptionally well. This my friends does just that!

It's the Lierac Cleansing Water "Eau De Soin Demaquillante"

What is it: It's a very gentle (yet VERY effective) cleansing water that eliminates impurities without irritating your precious skin! It's a "no rinse" 3-in-1 (make-up remover, cleanser and toner) formulated with white lily and chamomile extracts, to moisturize and soothe skin, leaving it balanced and soft

Why I like it so much: I can't even tell you how much I love it. It's saved me so many steps! As much as I love skincare I don't always have the energy at night for a million steps. I normally always wash my face with a cleanser but for the nights I don't feel like it... this cleansing water does the trick. It removes ALL my makeup until the cotton pad is clear. I still use this after I use a normal cleanser as well. It really does everything I need and I no longer buy eye make up remover... this product does the trick even when I've packed my lashes with coats of mascara... it removes it all! I am so happy. It smells really nice and leaves my face feeling smooth and refreshed! It's defiantly a 5 star product! Link!

Other products that I think are amazing by Lierac are:

Toning Radiance Serum "Concerntre Mesolift"

When I first started using this line my face wasn't in the best of shape. I had gotten really lazy in my nightly skincare and my face was looking bumpy and dry. Within a few day of using this guy my face turned around and started looking and feeling smooth again. This is 15% concentration of vitamins (A, C, E, B5, B6), minerals and hyaluronic acid boost skin tone and radiance. Works to balance out uneven pigmentation, fill in fine lines and wrinkles, and hydrate dull or tired skin. It's an AMAZING pick me up! Link!

"Micro-Abrasion"

This is the mother of all exfoliators, in my opinion! I've tried quite a few including the acclaimed ExfolKate and this one puts that to shame. However, while it DOES work really well I have to be very careful with my sensitive skin. It's very abrasive. I haven't had any problems but you have to use with a light touch and expect some redness. Link!

Initiatic Fluid

This product was created for the prevention and correction of premature aging. It's has a high-tech synergy of peptides (super important!) and goji fruit extracts. It provides a matte texture to the skin while protecting the skin.

While I'm not sure I can say I saw a major difference from using this: it's has quickly become my FAVORITE make up primer. I'm very picky when it comes to primers as most either are too greasy or leave my make up looking weird... this creates a soft and smooth canvas for my make up. I've been pleased with it in that respect. Link!

Why I love this company:

Rather than pumping our skin full of chemicals their science is botanical based to restore you skin. If you love Phyto's natural stance on hair care you will love Lierac because they are from the same creator!

Have you tried anything from this line? If so, I'd love to hear about it. Their "High Peel" and "Comfort Peel" sound really good. May have to try. Will keep you posted!

Cure your dry winter hands! Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve!

Winter has just begun and so far it has not been too kind to my hands. I started cleaning my house "green" using a vinegar and alcohol... great great for cleaning your house but killer on your hands.

My hands were chapped and so red so I went searching in my house for a cream to soothe my poor hands but didn't expect to find such an unknown gem sitting in my husbands drawer.

A while back I got a gift set of Kiehl's products and the majority of them I gave to my husband.

This is one of the best hand creams I've ever tried. Ever. I'm normally not a fan of hand creams because they are either too greasy or the scent burns my sad hands. The cream I found here was 2.5 oz and I seriously went through it in 2 weeks. I seriously put it on like every 20 minutes. I think I because obsessed with the feeling of "healing" and the softness my hands felt. I ordered the 5.0oz from Nordstroms and it just came yesterday. My hands are so happy again!

The scent is faint but it's neither bad nor good. It kind of smells like Eucalyptus.

Here is what Kiehl's says about it:

Formulated for the driest, most active hands, this heavy-duty moisture treatment is a thick, rich formula offering all-day care and protection. Our blend of select ingredients allows skin to actually draw and absorb water from the air, forming a "glove-like" protective barrier against moisture loss. This formula, which contains a blend of botanical oils as well as natural wax derived from Olive Oil, further soothes, moisturizes and conditions skin. This most effective preparation helps protect against and repair the appearance of severe dryness caused by heavy industrial work, manual labor, neglect, or exposure to harsh elements.

I highly, highly recommend this cream if you have dry winter hands like I did. It's a simple, basic, no frills (ie: scent, fancy bottle, etc) but it WORKS and good!

Another cream I've been trying is the Eucerin Aquaphor healing ointment but I'm not the biggest fan of it for my hands. Way too greasy but it works amazing on my dry lips... heals them overnight.

Wow. It's been while. Not by choice. I think I was cursed with computer problems. I feel like I'm always saying that, I have terrible luck with computers. Its been almost a month without it and let me tell you... I'm going crazy. I have so many things to share with you. Hopefully I will get my computer up and running soon. I miss all of you!

Laura Mercier "Shy Pink" lip stain & plump lips

Let me introduce you to one of my new favorite lip stains- Laura Mercier "Shy Pink". I've never heard a review on this, never looked at it before or seen a single swatch online but it was truthfully love at first sight. This is my kind of color. Creamy nude pink with a hint of mauve. The texture is smooth and beautiful and lasts a pretty decent amount of time. Lip stain, is it? Um, no. Lip stain it is not. I don't know where they got that from. It's more like a creamy lipstick in a balm form with the sheen of a lip gloss. Multifaceted, indeed. It can be anything you want it to be. :)

The most surprising thing about this about this, for me, is that I had to double check if it was also a lip plumper. It's not, but it does something to my lips to make them look humungo! Who doesn't want bigger lips but they almost were looking too big. It was odd. I don't know how that happened but it did. I guess I can't complain and question the mystery of it.

Stunning color- check.

Creamy texture- check.

Long wearing- check.

Unexplained plump lips- check, check, check.

{I paired this with a discontinued Dior lip liner so maybe the way I lined my lips made them larger but I'm thinking not}

Stila - Self Adjusting Coral blush

I'm not really sure how I feel about this blush or any "self adjusting" beauty product for that matter. Does it really work? How does it work exactly? I am a sucker for anything coral so I gave the Stila Self Adjusting Coral a try. If this is self adjusting than I think my face wants me to be a clown. This little ol' blush is a pigmented one that's for sure. Even with a light hand I manage to add too much. The first time I bought it I ripped opened the package as soon as I got in the car... added a little to my cheeks with my fingers and thought it looked ok. Then when I got home and was in normal light I was horrified and embarrassed at how much I put on. I honestly can't seem to get this blush to look right on me and it should be THAT much work. It's just really, really pigmented so I think that's the problemo. It also has very strong orange undertones that do me no favor.

Maybe you have had better luck then me with this blush but I cannot justify paying $22 for this payoff. It's not worth it too me.

It actually don't look THAT horrible in this picture but in person it's really unflattering and much too bright of a color. I'm actually kinda disappointed it looks better in pictures then in person. Bad example. Oh well.

Top is the color at full strength.. how it would appear on the skin without blending. The bottom is the color blended. Again, the natural light washed out some of the actual intensity of the colors.

Anyway, that is just my two cents and I think it was a bad example of my true thoughts on it because the pictures really don't look all that bad. In person... I am not a fan. It just looks really bad on me... almost clownish.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Foundation "Stay in Place Make Up" Review

Being the foundation addict that I am I can't pass up trying a hyped up foundation. As of right now (still!) the Maybelline 24 Hour Super Stay is my go-to foundation. Love! <3

One of my favorite "guru's" {blushingpixie} on youtube was talking about the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light and because everything she recommends is gold in my opinion {and the fact her skin is beyond flawless} I had to give it a try.

I will say everything she said about it is true.

It's a lovely foundation.

I'm just not totally sure I'm in love with it... yet.

The thing I love about it or at least about the color I got {#2} is it is very natural based. Meaning it wasn't too yellow or too pink... it was just right. It does have SPF 10 in it so I did notice a slight white cast from it {in photos} which I have never experienced before from a foundation.

I think the wear time is amazing. From the time you apply until you take it off it looks good. Speaking of applying... it went on a little weird. Kinda streaky and not a breeze to blend. It's very light- a step up from a tinted moisturizer, in my option. Also, it does have sort of a chalky feel. I'm thinking because it's more of a matte foundation. That tends to happen to me when I use matte foundations.I wouldn't say it's a true matte though because it does have some luminosity.

Here is what it's supposed to:

15 hour wear. Light as air {I wouldn't go THAT far to say that}. Comfortable make up that stays vibrant and fresh no matter how active your day becomes. Resists smudging and won't "melt" off throughout heat and humility. Controls oil. Won't clog pores. Provides anti-oxidant protection. Sheer to medium coverage. Natural finish. Oil free. Fragrance free. 1 FL oz.

So, my verdict is: I like it. I love the neutral base color... I think it matches my skin-tone really well. It doesn't give that "I'm wearing a ton of foundation" look. It made my skin took very even and nice. I like the finish minus the chalky feeling. I love the fact that it's really really long wearing. That being said... I'm not in love with it. I'm not crazy about the white cast it gives off in pictures. Will I buy it again? Not sure. I haven't used it long enough to make my mind up on that. Will keep you posted.

Ugh, don't mind my hair. Never a fan of it pulled back. But hey... what's a momma gonna do?

It's officially fall and brrrr has it gotten chilly quick! Today was my sons first field trip (with pre-school). We went to an apple orchard, picked apples and went on a hayride. Good thing the rain stopped over night.

Well, ok... not for real. I'm not that brave! It would never, ever turn out that good and my hair would be fried... so the best I can do is to play on Taaz.com

Every once in a while I start playing on Taaz and forget just how much I love it. If you have followed my blog for a while then you'll know I've done posts on this before on how FUN IT IS! I did my hair, changed ALL my make up (my lip/blush/foundation etc are all changed on the site).

Here are some other hair "changes" I made. I know that dark hair suits me best but I am kinda liking dark brown with auburn it...hmmmm maybe I will do that for fall.

Fall can't haves {and why it's ok}

This is my list of fall "can't haves". Not that I don't want them... I do! I really, really do! There are just some things I admire from a distance but know will never actually be mine {only in my sweet dreams}. Darn you money. Why do you have to be so cruel? Enjoy... while I go in my backyard looking for my money tree that I thought I planted. Hmmm, still can't find it.

I've had my eye on this pretty girl for a long time but let's just be honest almost two grand on a purse is not that feasible or realistic for everyone. The thing I love about it is the size... I could fit a million things in it...even a kid or two.

Oh, momma! Gulp... this will forever be on my dream list. Forever because well... I just don't think I could shell out that amount for a bag and not bat an eye. This bag is so beautiful though... and I do admire the simplicity and regal-ness of it.

As I am writing this I saw a picture on Facebook that broke my heart and made me utterly ashamed of even lusting after these things. There is nothing wrong with liking, having or wanting nice things. It's our american (European) way of life... we are blessed. Blessed beyond measure and tend forget that and all we have (even though we complain of not having enough).... until the heartbreaking cold reality slaps you in the face. Here I was complaining about not being about to afford a three thousand dollar purse when there are babies starving to death. Uh, kills me.

I can't tell you how much I wish I could go there and hold that baby... way way way more than all the Chanel, Dior and Louis' in the world. These things are nothing compared to the feeling when I see that child and in fact those things seem rather stupid. When it all boils down to it... they are just things. That is a child. Who though is one of millions still has so much value and worth. My heart is breaking when I look at that little man and what I would give to step back in time and rock him while feeding him... night after night until he was healthy and strong.

So, I guess this was a good lesson for me tonight... stop getting so caught up in things and remember that I am blessed. To stop wishing for those great luxuries in life when a piece of bread is gold to some.

A glossy kinda day! MUFE Lab Shine 52- Light Beige

This summer Sephora gave away a little Make Up Forever bag filled with all sorts of goodies that would make any cosmetics addicts heart do a little flip flop. I fell in love with everything they gave (minus the HD powder.. not for me) ... especially the Lab Shine lipgloss. As a confessed lipglossacholic this one did not disappoint. I think the color is very pretty for those days when you just wanna a little gloss without going over the top... it's not the color I feel in love with per se... it's the gloss itself. This lipgloss is totally awesome. Smooth, soft and not sticky... at all. It has fine a sparkle and bless the people at MUFE... they made it so you can't actually FEEL the glitter. Nothing worse than feeling chunks of glitter on your lips. I can't wait to get over the Sephora and try out some brighter colors. This gloss is a winner on all levels.

The 52- Light Beige is a very pretty nude (almost a champagne color with a minute amount of frost. ) It has a very beautiful gold flecks when the light hits it just right.

This is the small sample size... which this in itself will last me a LONG time.

I think the color is very pretty in person but I don't know if I'd get this exact color again but without a doubt this gloss is awesome! I can't wait to check out other colors!

Phyto Botanical Hair Relaxing Balm = best hair product I've EVER tried

It takes a lot for a hair product to truly blow me away and admittedly it's only been done a few times {very few} in my life. Hair is my struggle. I find no pleasure in doing my hair because it's always up for a battle. Until now...

I'd like to introduce you to my new weapon that has brought my hair back to life and made everything easy without effort.

It's the Phyto Botanical Hair Relaxing Balm... and girlfriends let me tell you about it.
This $26 miracle product did everything a Keratin Treatment did, results wise. Seriously. Except it provides natural, alcohol free, chemical free relaxing benefits using plant extracts. I don't know how it does what it does but it does something truly amazing. This product will strengthen hydrate, soften, add shine without it becoming greasy or weighed down. Also, the more you use it {it could be everyday, every other or once a week) your will hair will become soft and more manageable with each application.

I usually have to straighten my hair after I blow dry it but I don't have to with this. My hair dried very quickly when it usually takes a long time to blow dry. I was left with soft, smooth, manageable... and SHINY hair!!

How to use it:
Apply on damp hair. Apply a pea side (or quarter for me) in the palm of your hand... apply stand by stand. Comb through with a wide tooth comb. Repeat the process. Do not rinse. Blow dry. And voila... amazing hair.

To me the product seems more like a serum than a balm. It's very "watery"... so a little goes a long way.

After blow drying it... no flat iron.No other products used.

If that's not mega shine than I don't know what is! :)

Ok, so I just wanted to share this product with you because I'm super excited about it. I don't know what I was expecting when I tried this but certainly not this... I am so surprised just how amazing it is and how come I've never heard of it before this!

Mrs. Globe virtual voting

Hello, darlings! I'm gearing up for the Mrs. Globe pageant. I can't believe it's like 3 weeks away! The thing I'm most nervous about to be honest is leaving my kids for a week! That's the longest I've ever been away from them! But, I know they will be fine!

The pageant has opened up their virtual voting for the delegates. I'm going to post the link but I'm only going to ask you to vote if you feel it in your heart to. It is $10 per vote. I know you are probably thinking... why does it cost money to vote? All of the proceeds go towards the WIN Foundation which helps women and children in the recovery from abuse. I don't know about you but I have a long list of wishes that keep stock piling up by the minute... blogs and youtube aren't really helping my cause.

After watching a video by Makeupgeektv I have decided I'd like to give the Beauty Blender a second thought. I've tried Sonia Kashuk's version and was doubtfully unimpressed. It did nothing for my skin and sucked up all my foundation like it was the Sahara desert. But, after watching Marlena's video and seeing how amazing her skin is... that was added to the list!

One of my new favorite youtubbers Morekaylaroberts did a video a few days ago where she was using MAC Smut. Now, I usually steer clear of pretty dark colors because they just look awful on me but Smut looked very wearable and easy to work with. So, we shall see if that one works out for me. I also ordered MAC Costa Chic from watching her videos... that will be delivered tomorrow. I.can't.wait!
Note: check out Kayla's videos. I think she is such a great person and unfairly beautiful.. might I add. I love this girl.

I still have my eye on House Of Harlow's Resin necklace. I've loved it for years but just have spend my money on make up rather than saving for this. Go figure. This retails for $145 so that's kinda expensive for a necklace I won't be wearing all that much. Maybe I'm cheap. But, I love it and it's for sure on my wish list!

A few days ago I was watching some of Donnashorts1's videos (love her... sweet sweet person) and she was talking about a brush from Glamcor and as soon as I saw how she was using it... I made a mental note to check it out. The brush looks fantastic... the price... not so much. This one will probably just stay a mental wish.

We had a lovely wedding to attend on this fine balmy evening. I ordered this dress a few months from AX Paris and I'm in love with the color! I think the dress is really cute BUT it can make you look bigger on the bottom then you actually are. I don't know about you... but that's not really what I want. But, all in all... I'm happy with it. The shoes are BCBG (bought at DSW... on sale! Score!).

MAC Well Dressed Blush

For years I've heard so many amazing things about this blush but never picked it up. I guess in the back of my mind I thought it would be too light and just wouldn't look right on me. I bit the bullet and gave it a go and it's turned about to be one of my all time favorite blushes. Ever. Like. Ever, ever. I bought this about two months ago and I kid you not... this has been the ONLY blush I've worn.

I'm usually A.D.D when it comes to cosmetics and jump around a lot... maybe I'm growing up a bit or maybe it's just this blush is the perfect thing for me.

It's a cool neutral mauve-y pink with a the most glorious silver sheen. You really don't even need to use a highlighter when wearing this but the sheen is not over the top. This is a buildable blush which is good because there is NO way you will add too much. Nothing like looking like a clown.

Never was a Hello Kitty fan until...Hello Kitty Perfume

I have to admit, I'm not a Hello Kitty fan. Never have been and probably never will be. But....

Whilst aimlessly browsing Sephora, this cute little bottle caught my eye. I didn't really think anything of it and I'm not even really sure why I picked it up but I will tell you... I'm so glad I did! I was expecting it to be really juvenile but to my surprise it was quite the contrary! It's sweet but it's a sophisticated sweetness. Because it comes with a atomizer spray it distributes a very light and feminine scent. It's not a "bold" scent but will capture attention. I had a woman a stall over in the bathroom at a restaurant say "oh my word, what are you wearing? I kept walking by you all night and you smell so amazing". Awkward. *laughs* She was a "mature" woman and was completely shocked when I uttered "Hello Kitty". She was surprised it was not "kid-ish" at all but rather very lovely.

It doesn't come with the atomizer attracted {see below}. All you have to do is unscrew the silver cap and place on atomizer. The atomizer will give you a light airy scent and not to mention look totally glam. Didn't you love those when you were a little girl... they were so fancy and grown up!

While being shipped some perfume leeks out, so the bottle will be a little damp upon arrival which is a total bummer. This was not just a fluke for me... I've read this happening to others as well.

I 100% recommend you go and try this... it will not disappoint. I hope it's not limited edition because it's fastly coming one of my all time favorites!!

Ah-hah... I found the "photo booth" on this computer so scratch what I said below! :)

First off... let me say there is nothing more that I dislike then stock photos when reading a blog. I want to see the real deal. However, my computer is in the shop again and my computer guy let me borrow his MacBook Air... and there is no photo port. Boo. So, stock photo it is.

I was at Express yesterday and their new perfume caught my eye and all my senses when I walked into the store. Right as I walked into the store I smelled this divine scent and I gravitated towards the display. I sprayed it about 5 times while in the store but figured I didn't need another perfume... until I got home and all I wanted to do was rush back to Express and buy it.

So, today... it called me back and it's mine all mine.

It comes in a 1.7 fl oz ($44.90) or the 3.4 ($59.90)... I got the 3.4 because I had a feeling I'd go through the 1.7 too quickly.

I am not good at describing scents other than it's smells good... really really good. It's a light, girly, fresh and summery kind of scent.

But, this is how they officially describe it because "really really good" doesn't really tell you much. ha ha

"Notes of Blackberry, Lily of the valley, Tiare Blossom and sheer vanilla musk". Yumm.

Blog slacker I am indeed.
As I said in my last post I was without my computer for 3 weeks and now summer is in full swing life has been b-u-s-y! It feels like I am doing something everyday.

At the end of August I'm going to be doing the Mrs. Globe pageant... I'm really excited about it. I grew up watching pageants and always dreaming I could be apart of something like that. I got married and had babies young so my chances of doing Miss Michigan were no longer. I found out about the Mrs. Globe pageant a few months ago and it sounded like something I'd really love to be apart of. Not only is it a beauty pageant... it's a charity for the WIN Foundation which helps in the recovery and healing of abused women.

A few months ago I was feeling like ever since I left Guatemala (in 2005) a hole has been missing in my heart... that hole was helping someone other than myself. The day an ordinary girl becomes a princess! Dreams really do come true. Never think the impossible in life. What a magical day in the world. Though I am American I have a lot of British blood from all 4 of my grandparents so guess what... I'm going to claim her as my princess, too... so there! :) Not really so don't get mad.

The thing I love most about Kate is her gentle nature and kind spirit...and the fact she is SO down to earth. I think it's amazing she did her own make up for her ROYAL wedding. That says a lot.

You think someone got a little over zealous at the library? Just looking at it overwhelms me but I can and I will conquer this feat! So, if you are looking for fun, girly books then here is your list. I can't promise they are all good though.

1. Cecelia Ahern "The Book Of Tomorrow"- loved this book to no end. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I have read all of her books expect maybe two? She also wrote Ps. I love you. I read this book in a day and a half and could not put it down... kept me up until 5am {and I had to be up at 8am}. It was beautifully written and with each page you were left wondering what was going to happen and what was really going on.

2. Cecelia Ahern "Thanks For The Memories"- like with all her books you get really into the characters. This book was a little drawn out for me and while I liked the ending I was not satisfied with it ending there... I wanted to hear more about what happened. The dynamic between the daughter and father was charming.

3. Kim Addonizio "Little Beauties"- I've gotten to chapter 3 so far and I'm not sure if this book is something I want to finish. I just hasn't really captured my attention. The main character has OCD and her little necrotic idiocracies are kind starting to bug me.

4. Kenda Wilkinson "Sliding Into Home"- the fact I even got this kinda makes me LOL but then again it's totally me to get this book. I always wish I could be a fly on the wall so reading a biography kinda let's you do so. I've already read two chapters and so far so good!

5. Meg Cabot "Queen Of Babble"- I haven't read it yet but yes I did judge a book by it's cover because it looked cute. The story sounded kinda cute as well... so we shall see.

6. Suzanne Hansen "You'll Never Nanny In This Town Again (The true adventures of a Hollywood Nanny"- just by reading the inside cover I knew I had to read this. It sounds funny, shocking, cute and it's ALL true. Can't wait to read it!

7. Cecelia Ahern "There's No Place Like Here"-As you can see I can't enough of her reading. She is so unbelievably talented! This book sounds like a page turned... I'm sure I'll be up late reading this like I do with ALL her books.

8. Fiona Gibson "Baby Face (Red Dress Ink)- looked cute, sounded cute and anything that has to do with being a momma and still lusting over fashion, shoes, etc makes me want to read! However from reading reviews on Amazon it doesn't sound very hopeful! :( Actually it sounds very bad but I'll still give it a go.

9. Beth Harbison "Shoe Addicts Anonymous"- Sounds like a cute plot, cute cover (yes, I'm guilty again) and she has had a lot bestsellers so again we will see how it goes. I really want to check out her book "Hope In a Jar".

So, my little book worms... do you have any good reads for me. By now you know I love girly books and I'm a HUGE sucker for any British/Irish girly novels. Send your recs my way! :) I want to read Brook Burkes new book "The Naked Mom" and Jenny McCarthy's book "Love, Lust and Faking It".

Now that I've used this for a couple months I feel I can give you a proper overview on how the Snake Serum performs. Let me start by saying that I really love this product for a number of reasons. It really tightens up the face, plumps fine lines and gives an over brightness to your skin. If you haven't read my other posts about the Snake serum you are probably wondering what is it and how it works. This serum is designed to mimic the effects of the paralyzing snake venom. I must stress that it's not made out of real snake venom.

This contains Syn-ake, a neuropeptide mimics the effects of a Vipers potent venom to freeze facial muscles and reduce the formation of new lines while plumping the skin to reduce the appearance of current wrinkles. Added Ronasphere fades skins perfections and corrects skin tone, while Pomegranate Ellegic Tannin protects the skin from damage cause by environmental pollutants.

Overall, I think this serum is really great and there has been a positive improvement since starting it. You can apply this morning and night. You will feel the tightening right away {best to wait 2 minutes untouched to soak into your skin} and then apply your favorite moisturizer over this. I do have to note that the tightness you will feel is subtle and will not be bothersome to you whatsoever. Using this you will have powerful antioxidant protection throughout your day. This contains no SPF so make sure you don't forget that!

What first peaked my interest with the Snake Serum is the fact that so many celebrities with skin that I have envied for ages use this! Cheryl Cole, Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Katie Holmes, Kate Boswoth. Enough said! They all have amazing skin!

Final results. They recommend using for 28 days to get the full effect.

Benefit Bella Bamba blush

This is one of Benefit's newest boxed blushes affectionately called Bella Bamba. This blush is Coralista's more outgoing and loud sister. The colors are very similar however Bella Bamba is highly pigmented so just a small tap with my brush is really all I need. The big different between the two is the highlight {aka candle light glow} Bella Bamba gives or as they call it "3D brightening" of a subtle watermelon- gold glow. I am loving that they changed the packaging up and kept the lid attracted. Brilliant! {well, not really... it should have been that way the whole time). It's a very welcomed change by me.

So, would I buy this again? No. I like Coralista better and I find Bella Bamba is just a tad bit too pigmented for my linking ie almost clown-ish.

Today is April 17th and it's so cold and windy! I don't want to be wearing a sweater... give me sun-dresses and tank tops! But, since it's chilly today it's a cozy simple kind of day. As you know I started Retin-a and I'm not sure if it's just in my mind {because it probably is} but my skin is looking better... so much so that after a year I whipped out my trusty old Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer! The only reason I picked this up is because Michelle Money from The Bachelor wore this on the show. Every Monday night I'd lust over her lip color and knowing that I'd probably never find out what it was. I was bummed. Whatever she was wearing... I wanted. Lucky for us Michelle is on twitter and very open to share what she uses from make up, haircare, tanners, clothes, etc. I'm so excited to find out she was wearing YSL Rouge Volupte in #1. I am a huge fan of Rouge Volupte so I ran to Sephora as soon as I found out.

#1 is described as a "creamy neutral beige". It's a light nude pink in my opinion. It's on the border of being too light for me but with a darker lip liner it works. The application is very creamy and a tad streaky and as we are all aware because it's so creamy it's not a long wearing lipstick. The packing is pure luxury and the scent of melon is delish. On my other YSL lippies the tube came with a mirror which really comes in handy! This tube didn't for some reason. You can sort of see your reflection in the gold but where is the mirror? Maybe they changed that on me. Over all it's a nice lipstick but not a must have color for me. It's not something I couldn't live without { as the saying goes}.

Giving Retin-A a go....

Thank you so much to everyone who left a comment on my last post about Retin-A. All your feedback, input and advice was very helpful! I got my prescription filled today for the lowest dose and hallelujah my insurance covered it { just had a $10 co-pay}. I'm going to start it tonight! I will keep everyone updated on how it goes and the results... I know it will be worse before it gets better! Knowing that... I'll hang in there.

Has anyone tried Borba skin products? I read his book last night called Skintervention and now I'm really interested in finding out more about his products. He has a sunscreen with SPF 100 and since I'm going to be start using Retin-A I want to find a really good sunscreen. His philosophy is changing your skin from the inside out so he has tons of really cool supplements made to help with you skin. He has these vitamin gummie bears that sound really cool. What are your thoughts on Borba?

I'm thinking I might get the Environmental Shield... I read a book recommend by one of my blog followers called Skintervetion! It talked about a lot of things that may be causing us skin problems without us knowing about it... environmental damage plays a huge effect on your skin. Get the book! I ordered it on Kindle through Amazon last night and read it in 2 hours.... it was very insightful and inspiring!

Retin-A questions for YOU!

Since my sons were born I have had constant break outs along my jaw line and cheeks. They come and go as they please but it's really getting on my last nerve. I made an appt with my Doctor on Friday for a prescription of Retin-A. Now after doing more and more research on it I'm seeing that most insurances don't cover it and it's around $100 a tube. Yikes. My questions to you are:
-Did your insurance cover it?
-What strength did you get?
-Did you apply it all over your face or just in the effected areas?
-Were the results worth it?

I'm scared I'll have a terrible reaction to it because I have pretty sensitive skin but of course I'd start out with the lowest dose. I'm not going to lie... the anti-aging benefits also sound very appealing as well.

So, what are YOUR thoughts and and what was your experience with Retin-A?

New Riding Boots as seen on Emily Maynard from The Bachelor!

As you may know I am such a huge Emily Maynard fan! I loved everything she wore on the show especially a pair of totally cute riding boots! I found out what they were and got my hands on them.... and guess what? They were only $34.99 from Target!! { Link to the boots } I normally wear a size 6.5 in shoes and 7 in boots because I have larger calves... so I got these in a 7. I should have gotten the 6.5 because they are a little large but they will do. I don't think they sell these in store so I can't be bothered to return them for a smaller size. I've been wanting riding boots for a long time and I am so pleased with these! These kind of remind me of Steve Maddens riding boot with the zipper on the back {which I totally wanted} but these are very similar and like I said only $34.99!! These are faux leather.

Ahhhh! Scary! But, don't be scared! As funny looking as this mask may be it's truly a wonderfully relaxing product {and effective!} This mask is formulated to help with hyperpigmentation and hydrate your skin. It left my skin feeling extremely soft and immediately brighter! The recommended time to leave the mask on is 15 minutes but it so so so nice and relaxing I left it on for 20 minutes and STILL didn't want to take it off. The mask was very wet with the product { so much it was dripping down my neck} and very cold... and it felt amazing. I closed my eyes and put my head back and I seriously felt like I was at the spa. This product was one of the most relaxing products I've ever tried... it's a great de-stresser for the mind, soul and FACE!

Today I joined a site called Ohgle and so far... so fun. It's kinda like twitter for fashion and beauty. You can post things you recommend to people and a small review as to why. I don't have any "friends" on it yet so basically I've been posting things for my own amusement. When posting you only get 140 characters like on twitter but you can post pictures and look up hundreds of thousands of products to tell each other about.

Foamingly Clean Facial Wash by Benefit

As you know I had tried out this face wash in the teeny-tiny trial size. It was love at first touch so I had to order the full size right away. I wanted to share what the packaging of this looks like for those of you who were interested in trying this. Isn't it beyond cute!

Foamingly clean facial wash- I can't tell you how much I LOVE this cleanser. I already ordered one the day I put this lovely product on my face! This is a lot like the Missha Super Aqua cleaner I love but this one is a lot more accessible to get and dare I say it does make my face feel softer and smoother. It's seriously like silk! The scent is out of this world delish. It's honestly really nice. I'm a huge fan of foam cleansers so this is perfect for me. Also, it's $21 which I don't think is too bad in price... I thought it was going to be a lot more so I am very surprised!

Next on my list is one of their moisturizers! It's also DIVINE!!

I am loving this leopard shirt from H&M but I do feel slightly uncomfortable in it because it's bolder than I usually go for. I love the fabric and cut of it and I think it will go cute with a lot of things. I got this yesterday for around $29.

Benefit Radiant Skincare colletion

I was e-mailed a coupon from Sephora VIB to try a sample pack of Benefit's new skincare line called Radiant. I had no expectations since I hadn't heard anything about it before that but I like free things so hey why not give it a go. I cannot tell you how pleased and happy I am that I picked this up! You all know that I'm a bit of a skincare junkie and it does take a lot to impress me because I do have rather sensitive skin and can break out at the tip of a hat if something irritates my skin.
This sample pack came with three items
{I don't know if this sample pack is still available or not}.

The packaging is too cute... gotta love when thought and creativity goes into something!

{Also, sorry for the lack of "real" photos... my son lost my photo card for my camera, again! }

1. It's Potent! eye cream- this eye cream is awesome. It is fragrance free and extremely silky to the touch. You can see the brighting effects right away! I really like this eye cream a lot!

3.Triple performing facial emulsion spf 15- another product that really blew me away. This has the same scent as the cleaner and I can't get enough of it. This really does a great job at moisturizing my face and leaving it baby soft. I love that it keeps my face really nice and smooth but it's not a thick and heavy cream! You do get quite a bit with the sample so I have a week or two left until I finish it and this WILL be something I will order as well. The only thing I don't like is the glass bottle. I know they wanted it to be cute but it's a pain to get product out... it's kinda like a glass ketchup bottle... if you know what I mean :::tap tap tap::: But, other then that... it's perfection... for me. Again, this is only $28! Not bad, not bad at all.

PS- this is oil free! :)

So, from what I tried... I am IN LOVE with this new line and I can't wait to try more. I am counting the days until my cleaner comes!

YSL Teint Radiance Foundation = flawless face!

Without a doubt I have found my Holy Grail foundation in the MUFE HD but that doesn't stop me from trying to find the next best thing. I have been playing around with about 3 different YSL samples and I think I have found myself a true keeper... Teint Radiance {I use #5}. My gosh is this foundation nice. You wanna flawless face with a nice glow {but without being "dewy"} than this is the foundation for you! The coverage is medium but it's buildable. It has a nice fruity melon scent like all other YSL products which I really like! The lasting power is pretty impressive. I'm sure if you were someone who was out all day you might need a touch up after 6 or 7 hours. It does come with a pretty hefty price tag- $48. This is a light defusing foundation meaning it has transparent minerals pigments to allow light reflection for that stunning glow. It has SPF 20 and comes in 8 shades.

So, yes... you could say I'm in love! <3

So, I'm not really a nail polish connoisseur like some girls out there. I don't collect nail polish, I don't like putting it on, waiting for it to dry and then taking it off {I'm the WORST at getting around to taking it off}. It's about as fun as doing the dishes to me. Lately though I've really found some amazing colors by Essie that it makes me want to try and keep my nails looking nice. I've been loving Fiji, Nice is Nice and now....

Sand Tropez

The application is easier to work with than let's say Fiji. It still goes on a bit streaky so two coats is a must but it's a very pretty shiny beige neutral. I think it's a very classic color for days when you don't want your nails to look to loud but still look nice.

I got this from Walmart for $7.75 and this is part of their new collection.

Oh to be a Queen!

In our minds when we think of Queens we think of royalty (well, duh), glamour, beauty... and then we are faced with reality that most Queens are actually old, dowdy and unlike anything we grew up dreaming to be. Rania Queen of Jordan is everything I think a Queen should be but with a modern twist. I love everything about this woman. She is so unbelievably hip and stylish.

We got on that topic last night because he said he wanted to be Superman when he grows up and asked me who I wanted to be and I said the Queen of Jordan. Sigma "Make Me Classy"

I received these a few months ago and I've been too busy using them everyday and haven't gotten around to show them off yet!:) I've been using Sigma brushes for over a year and a half now. So, I think I can honestly give a proper opinion. I pretty much only use Sigma brushes and have sold or given away my MAC brushes. Word. It's the truth. I first tried their old brushes that came in the travel case. They have since changed their brushes a bit, added more and changed the numbers to their own system. I still use my old brushes from over a year ago and they have held up perfectly.

This kit is Make Me Classy and the little holder was ingenious on their part. I like to store my brushes in holders because it's easier to find and I divide them into face and eyes. When you have to travel you just put all the brushes into one holder and snap it up and you are good to go.

Here are the brushes I use the most and how I use them:

This is the E65 Small Angle and I use this for my eyebrows. The angle works perfectly to get my brows how I want them looking. Honestly, I never did my brows before this brush.. and now I'm hooked!

F40 I always, always apply my bronzer and do my contouring with this brush

E05 I use this brush with all my gel eyeliners

E40 though this is a blending shadow brush I like to use this for powders (sometimes concealers) under my eyes. I love the softness of it... it's very gentle under my eyes.

This is the new (L) and old (R) brush... you can see they changed the brush size by a little bit. I still use my old one for blending and the new one for powders.

E60... this is great for packing on shadows

E70... this angeled brush works great for getting dark colors in my crease

E30 I also like using this one on my crease as well as putting shadow under my eye. I'm still using the old brush from over a year ago (that's why this one is clean) and saving this one for when I need to replace the old one.

E55 Also great for packing on the glitter! :)

F70 concealer

F60 I could not live without this brush. I have 3 of the same brush and use them ALL the time. This is my all time favorite foundation brush!
