My Oscar Dressess

The Oscars are coming up and that got me thinking about what I would wear if I was there. So many women wear these dresses and make you think "did she have ANY say in wearing that dress because that's a nightmare." (ie Michelle Williams brown flower dress) I think if I was a celebrity I'd want to have full say in what I wore and I'd have to 100% happy in it. Here are some dresses that's I'd feel comfortable wearing if I was going to such a fancy event.

Btw- I can't tell you how hard it is to find nice evening gowns that aren't already on a celebrity or a prom dress.

My Oscar picks.

New Products from Tarte!

I received some goodies from Tarte! I have to say I am a sucker for cute packaging and they certainly put some effort into some of these. Very cute! Some of these products really worked for me and others not so much. Keep reading for more info....

Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush

Natural Beauty (muted strawberry red)

Flush (deep berry)

Exposed (nude)

L-R "Natural Beauty" "Flush" "Exposed"

All of these blushes are very beautiful, pigmented and packaged beautifully... however none of them would work with my skin tone. I think the first two colors would look amazing on someone with a darker skin tone. The colors Blissful, Tispy or Dollface I think would have worked better for me.

Provocateur Amazonian Clay Shimmering Powder

"Champagne"

"Rose"

I totally love these. Champagne has been my go-to highlighter since I got it. It gives a very soft glow to the skin and because they are so finely milled and light in pigmentation it really creates a very NATURAL highlight! Love!

Emphas Eyes- Inner Rim Brightener

I've tried white liners on my eyes in the past and it really looked unnatural. I love how it looks on other people because it really opens their eyes up (not that I need too much help with that) but it also give a more awake effect. The thing I love about this liner is it is more of a cream color than stark white so in turn it doesn't look as obvious as white. For me this color is a great option because I don't really need the wide eye effect just more awake and this liner certainly does the trick.

These products were provided for review purposes. My thought and feelings on these products are true and honest. I am not affiliated with Tarte Cosmetics.

Would you try snake venom serum?

There isn't much I won't try in the name of beauty but snail slime and the newest craze.... Snake Venom serum is where I might draw the line (I say might because you never know). Glamoxy Snake Serum is the new celebrity must have. It's a oxygenated viper "inspired" serum containing syn-ake (which is a new peptide modeled after viper venom). It claims to instantly firm and lift the face and freeze the muscles such as the likes of Botox. It also claims to plump fine lines and wrinkles. Now, I'd be interested in trying this to see if it actually worked...it sounds scary but I am a curious soul. The skeptic in me also says this sounds to good to be true but I'd love to be proved wrong and find a total gem. It runs around $160 US. http://www.glamoxysnakeserum.com/

Used by:

Cheryl Cole
Victoria Beckham
Kate Moss

All of these women DO have lust worthy skin.... so hmmmmm... maybe they are on to something?

Have you heard of this? Would you try this? Do you think it works?

The new botox???

Beauty Icon

I think every girl has a few beauty icons that they look to and strive to achieve some of the perfection that these beauties exude! The women listed below are the ones I look to for hair styles, make up, clothes, etc. When I think of beauty (at least outwardly beauty) I think of these girls.  I don't know if you are like me but I do save pictures on my computer of woman I strive to look like in someway shape or form. Hmmm, maybe I'm just a weirdo.

Oxana Fedorova- Miss Russia and Miss Universe 2002

Georgina Chapman

Megan Fox

Cynthia Olavarria - former Miss Puerto Rico

Cheryl Cole- can I just save I love her teeth ( and yes I know they are veneers). Gorg!

Who are your beauty icons?

Whose hair do you love?

Whose make up/fashion/body do you strive for?

But, at the end of the day I'll always be me... and I can't change that. I just appreciate their beauty.

Circa 1983

I found an few baby pictures of me when I was cleaning out my closet yesterday. I have like 3 huge albums filled of baby/childhood pictures but I have no idea where they are since I moved. So, these are the only ones I found.

Just thought I'd share baby Sarah. :)

I think I was 11 months old here and have a bruise somehow on my eye... probably from learning how to walk or just my giant head. For all the doubters that make fun of my eyes and think I use weird contact to make them bigger... nope the colored part has *ALWAYS* taken up almost all my eye. :)

FATSO!!!!!!

This picture looks actually like my youngest sons face! I think I was 2- I was slow at getting my hair!

Now 27! All grown up!!! :)

The real ugly truth of a mommy OOTD

I'm not proud of it nor am I happy with it but I pretty much LIVE in pajamas. It's kinda depressing actually. But when you are snowed in { we had a HUGE snow storm last night}, have nowhere to go and nobody to impress except a 2 and 3 year old... honestly... what's the point. I do dream about walking around in fancy clothes, chic heels, perfect make up and sleek hair {it's not that simple with two toddlers} so this is sometimes the very ugly truth of a stay at home mom....totally glam, right?

Actually there is NOTHING glam or slightly attractive about this!!

-Fluffy pink bathrobe... everyone has to have one! :)
-Comfy Shirt
-Comfy pants

Yep, that pretty much sums it up. Sexy. Not.

DREAMING OF SUMMER...
cute dresses, breezy tops, sexy heels, glowing skin.....
