~*My Perfume Collection*~ {requested}

I have been asked so my times to do an Perfume collection post {or video} but my "collection" is really not as extensive as some peoples so I never really wanted to but hey what the heck. I'm not the best at describing scents other than it smells good, bad,  sweet, musky, etc so I don't know how exciting this will be so bear with me! ;) I won't really be able to tell you what "notes" it has on my own so you will be getting an official version from Sephora.

{NOTE: this post looks totally SPAZTIC... I put all the font in black and same font type and I have no CLUE why some things are blue and in different font. Blogger is being STUPID tonight}

First up is my favorite at the moment...

VIKTOR & ROLF- FLOWERBOMB

I can't even explain how much I love this perfume! It's so feminine and girly. It's also VERY sweet but not sickening. You basically smell like a beautiful flower! :) I was at the store yesterday and the guy asked me what I was wearing because I smelled like "hot coco"... I don't get a "chocolate" scent from this AT ALL... so I don't know why he thought that. This perfume is amazing but it's really expensive!:(

Flowerbomb
This floral explosion releases a profusion of flowers that has the power to make everything seem more positive. Magically evocative notes immediately awaken your deepest senses, giving you the impression of living life in your own secret garden, away from reality. Sambac Jasmine, Centifolia Rose, Cattleya Orchid, and Ballerina Freesia bloom on a base of Patchouli.

Notes:
Sambac Jasmine, Centifolia Rose, Cattleya Orchid, Ballerina Freesia, Patchouli.
Style:
Oriental. Gourmand. Floral.

THIERRY MUGLER- WOMANITY

This is not a scent I'd normally go for but I absolutely love it. It has a familiar scent to me that I can't put my finger on but brings back memories to me every time I smell it. It smells like something I once smelled in Guatemala { but have NO clue what}... so this perfume makes me happy. This scent seems more "grown up" to me but in a good way. It makes you feel sexy.

{The bottle is a tester I got off of ebay for cheaper}

Womanity
Womanity continues Thierry Mugler's tradition of creating fragrances a step ahead of their time. Noted for bringing together sweet and savory accords, the fragrance opens with energetic citrusy accords and dries down to a daring yet wearable cloud of complexity that smells of fruit, woods, granite, and salt.

Although elusive, the pairing of two unique scents served as the fragrance's inspiration: the sweet, milky scent of fig and the savory, salty notes of caviar—both derived through a high-tech molecular extraction process.

"At the heart of it is what one woman learns from another. Womanity is that bond: giving, complicit, a tacit affinity." —Thierry Mugler

Like an art deco skyscraper towering over Gotham, the glass bottle features a brushed metal top chiseled with secret symbols and a mask of a woman, evoking a mysterious sense of woman's dominion. A gray pouch is included to protect the refillable bottle.

Notes:
Citrus, Woods, Fig, Caviar.
Style:
Innovative. Distinctive. Provocative.

DIOR ADDICT SHINE

I've done a blog post about this scent before. In my opinion this is the perfect scent. There is honestly nothing I don't love about! This is the ultimate girly perfume. Out of all the perfumes I own this is the one I get complimented on the most.

Dior Addict Shine
A Refreshing Fruity Shine.
Introducing a new facet of Dior Addict, Addict Shine, a luminous and dazzling fragrance. Dior Addict Shine is a reflection of John Galliano's style: ultra feminine, sophisticated, and impactful. It's a young, chic, and sensual fragrance for the woman who has to shine.

Dior Addict Shine radiates its fresh fruity and glowing charm with an unexpected citrus-y top note of cedrat, a fresh middle note of gardenia and raspberry, and a sensual base note of cedar woods. Available exclusively at Sephora.

Notes:
Cedrat, Gardenia, Raspberry, Cedar Woods.

CAROLINA HERRERA- CAROLINA HERRERA

I've seriously had this bottle forever but that doesn't mean I don't love it. It's such a classic fragrance that's really soft smelling and will make you feel really classy when you wear it. I bought this when I was living in Guatemala and I remember smelling it in the store and right then and there I knew I had to have it. I was obsessed with it at the time. They don't sell this scent at Sephora but I know Macy's has it.

"Unmistakably elegant, this fragrance combines notes of orange blossom, Spanish jasmine, ylang-ylang and amber for a rich, floral scent."

JUICY COUTURE - VIVA LA JUICY

This is my ideal summer scent. It's really fun, girly, sweet and sophisticated all rolled into one! One of the best things I like about this {besides the smell} is it's not over the top expensive and pretty easy to get your hands on. The first bottle I bought my 2 year old knocked off the counter and broke {I'd only owned it one week} and I just ran up to Target and got another one....at the time I think it was on sale for $30 something... so not too bad!

Photobucket

Viva La Juicy
Can't get enough couture? Well here's even more, for Juicy girls who want it all. Juicy Couture presents Viva La Juicy, an enticing scent of wild berries and mandarins, honeysuckle, gardenia, and jasmine. To round it out, amber, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood, and praline add just the right touch of sweetness. It's bottled in a bold gold decanter decorated with Juicy charms.

Notes:
Wild Berries, Mandarins, Honeysuckle, Gardenia, Jasmine, Amber, Caramel, Vanilla, Sandalwood, Praline.
Style:
Tantalizing. Teasing. Tempting.

STELLA MCCARTNEY - IN TWO PEONY

Sadly... very sadly this is discontinued... I have no clue why because this scent is so so so lovely in every way! I am not without hope thought because it can still be found online in various places! I am on my 3rd bottle of this and if you know me at all you'll know I am kinda cosmetic A.D.D... I bounce around to different things and don't stick to anything. This scent is divine!

Photobucket

"Stella In Two perfume by is a beautiful and fragile scent, reminiscent of the morning dew. The Eau de Toilette is bursting with top notes of peony and black pepper that are beautifully contrasted with a blend of patchouli and amber, giving a sensual signature to the fragrance. The Stella In Two solid perfume expresses the more mysterious and dark side of the fragrance, concentrating more on the sexiest and most addictive ingredient: amber. Personalize your scent by wearing the Eau de Toilette alone, or layered with the Solid Perfume. This new contrasted perfume by Stella McCartney is a burst of energy and seduction, full of personality that's perfect for the edgy young woman who is self confident and naturally attractive. She has her own personal style and adds her personal touch to everything she wears and everything she does. Notes include Peony, Black Pepper, Amber, Patchouli, Wood."

So, there you have it! :)

Have you tried any of these? Thoughts??

Taaz is SO fun!

Ever wondered what you'd look like with a different hair color or style? I know I have but I'm not very brave in the hair dept. I found Taaz.com about two years ago but forgot about it until tonight when I was looking through my "favorites" list. You can do your make up, change your eye color {I tried to make mine brown but it didn't darken them too much}, plump your lips {say hello to my new huge bottom lip... weird} and try on celebrity hair styles.

I just thought I'd pass on the fun! :)

Here are some of my hair styles. Ha ha

Jessica Biel's hair

Megan Fox Hair

The "Posh Bob" VB

Well, I'd have to say... I better stay dark! :)

This site is so fun... have you been there before??

A few fashion goodies I have been lusting for!

Ah, winter is here and the cold has come! I say that with the least bit of excitement by the way. I am not a fan of the cold at all and don't do good in it. However, I do love winter clothes. I am completely obsessed with black jackets {especially pea-coats}. I found this one a few weeks ago on Overstock.com! I ordered it for $61.00 and a day later it went on sale for $49.50.... I asked just out of curiosity if they honor sales and they credited my account the difference. Many points in my book for overstock.com
{It's sold out right now after the sale but maybe they will get the coat back later}

Finally... she's mine! :) I haven't used it yet but it's a beautiful bag.{ MK Large ines hobo in black. }
Today I went to the mall with full intentions of getting the Tory Burch ballet flats but they weren't THAT comfortable and I was afraid I was ruin them too fast so I settled on these Burberry rain boots that I have been wanted for about a year! I am so excited I own these now. I can get my boots wet, dirty, muddy... I can jump in the puddles with the boys and I won't worry about my shoes getting ruined.

So. that's pretty much all I've really wanted for a while and now I don't even want anything for Christmas { well, besides a new chair for doing my make up in but really... I don't want anything for Christmas.. shocker... I know, right?}

What are some goodies you want for whatever holiday you will be celebrating this season? Funny thing is... the older I get the less and less I want for the holidays... I get more joy out of seeing my sons faces light up than really caring about what's there for me. Life changes, doesn't it?

I have a perfume collection post coming up soon! ;)

Anyone wanna swap for my LV?

I'm trying to get rid of my Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Sonatine handbag... I've had it listed twice on ebay but honestly e-bay is flooded with LV's so mine never sold. Don't get me wrong... I love this bag. I lusted after it. It's just not practical for me with two toddlers. It doesn't fit all the toys, snacks, band-aids, make up. I've used it at most 4 times {if that}... it's not really a "going to the grocery store" kinda bag and just sits in my closet.
It is 100% authentic and the leather handles are starting to oxidize it's that nice brown color { a true sigh of an authentic bag}.

So, what I'd like to swap for is a gift card to Nordstrom so I can get this : Michael Kors "Ines Large Hobo Bag"   {the one in black...so cute} This bag is more "momma size". :) So, hopefully someone will take this LV off my hands before I sell it to the gypsys!

So, let me know if you are interested either comment below or e-mail me at saritadunstan@hotmail.com

Thanks!

Tag: My perfect imperfections

There is a fun tag going around youtube but since I am on a long break from all of that I thought I'd post it on my blog. I love hearing what other women don't like because it kinda makes me not feel alone like "hey, I can't stand that about myself either... I guess I'm not alone in that". It's not that I like hearing what other women feel insecure about but it just makes you feel better knowing that not everyone thinks they are perfect because in reality nobody is. Even the most beautiful woman on earth has something she doesn't like about herself but sometimes those are the things that actually make her more beautiful.

Now as the tag goes you have to name 3 things you really dislike about yourself {and things that bug you 'till no end} and 3 things you like about yourself.

My imperfections (dislikes):

My nose:
Are you tried of me saying that yet? Some people still have it in their little heads that I've had work done on it but no.. I haven't. I will be the FIRST person to say I'd love a nose job if money was not object.  I'm not ashamed. My nose is pushed over too far to the right and looks crocked. It's really something I don't like at all.

As you can see it's pushed this way -----> from when I broke it. Ugh! Bugs me.

My teeth:
I have disliked my teeth since I was in first grade. My teeth are more rounded and you can see my gums at the top. I guess I always wanted more movie star teeth a la Whitney Houston.

The bags under my eyes:
Nothing I can do can conceal them... they make me look tried and OLD. Grr. Hate those.

Can I only name 3?! Darn.

Now on to likes (or wouldn't change if I could)

Eye color:
I think my eye color is unique and the colored part of my eye is rather large... pretty much take up my whole eye. The downside to that is the colored part is so big that they don't make contacts to fit my eyes so my eyes are always getting red and irritated from contacts that don't fit right.

Lips:
I guess I like my lips- it's not a love thing but I guess they are all right. Sometimes they look really full and then other days they don't. I have no clue why... maybe my lips retain water. ha ha

My skin:
For the most part I like my skin. Sometimes it gives me trouble but for the most part I am happy with it.

So, what are you're imperfections (or things that bug you) and what are the things you love! I'd LOVEEE to hear!!

PS-if you do this tag... let me know. I'd like to see it {on YT) or read it {on your blog}.

Love,
Sarah

Why I stopped youtubbing and blogging.

I was texting a fellow friend/makeup guru today and she had asked me why I stopped doing youtube videos. Talking to her about it today made me feel ready about talking to all of you about it, too. Over a month ago I posted a skincare video in which I was given compensation for. I got an e-mail from this company asking if I'd like to try out their products and they would be paying me to make the video- there was nothing in the e-mail saying I must give a "good" review. Before I had gotten the products in the mail my husband asked me "but, what if you don't like the products... what are you going to do?" I said to him "If I don't like them, if they break me out, if they don't work then I will send them back. I won't give a false review. I can't. I've been honest all along and I'm not going to lie." It so happened that I really did like the products. I was happy for that. The fun part about being apart of youtube is I do get to try out many, many, many different things. So, if I try out a skincare line one month and then another 2 months later that didn't mean I didn't like the other products. I love trying things and then telling women whats out there and what they do so you can make up your mind, do more research and see if this is something that would be something you'd like. I'm not trying to sell anyone anything. The cool thing about getting free products is I do get the chance to try things I wouldn't have thought I'd like or even get the chance otherwise. We get to try them out and give you the facts. I'd say most of us don't have millions of dollars to try out every products on the market for you so getting things sent to us is a cool way to be able to show you different things out there... it's not a pushing products thing... at least it's not for me.

So, what happened and pushed me over the edge. It had been weeks and weeks after I had received the skincare products. I was unable to put up the video because my computer was broken and in the shop. I filmed the video about 8 times because I kept messing up on trying to say "PhytoCellTec Malus Domestica". At that point I was getting stressed out and just wanted to get this video out. So, I quickly put it up saying without thinking in my disclaimer "I was sent these products for free". Done. Closed my computer... video up. I was called out about being paid and lying about it and giving a "fake review". As soon as I noticed my fatal mistake I changed the disclaimer. It had nothing about "being called out". It was a honest mistake without thinking. If I was lying... do you think I would have been so quick to honestly change it? No, I would have went along with "my lie". People who are lying aren't going to give in that easy... they are going to play it out and go along with their lie. When I put up my disclaimer I wasn't thinking too much into it. I wasn't thinking "how can I fool these people". It was not my intent for people to feel deceived or lied to. I'm wholeheartedly sorry if you felt that I was.

A lot of people called me a hypocrite because I was very vocal about paid videos in the past. I still hold true to the paid videos I am against and I still have those feelings. The paid videos I am not for are the ones that really have nothing to do with beauty (ie: toothpaste, deodorant, tongue scrappers). Those are the ones that I was talking about on twitter and would be so annoyed. I don't want to watch a video (paid no less) on deodorant.. and either do you. Those are pointless and greedy videos. This was my first and only video I was paid to do. If someone came to you and said "Hey, we will send you all the beauty products from our line and pay you for you time.".... would you just say "uh yea.. no thanks". Most of you wouldn't. I let their e-mail sit for a least 5 days before I said yes. At first I was not interested... even if money was involved. I started reading about their products and watched a few reviews and the products sounded interesting. So, I said yes... I would try them.

I have never given a false review. Ever. Some videos may come across that way because sometimes I do get overly positive (and I've been overly negative at times) about products... when I like something I get excited and think it's the greatest thing on the earth and I want everyone to know about it. I'm the same way with people in my personal life... practicably putting it on their face without them expecting it because I so want them to love it to and get it excited about it like I am... I want them to see the gem I've found... just like I do for your girls. Not that I expect you to buy it... I just want you to listen to how great I think it is because I want other people to be excited with me and find something that might change their life or make them feel beautiful.

So, back to why I quit... I'm sure writing a novel here. The hate I got from making one little mistake was sick. I was called every name in the book. I was told to die. I had people twittering about me saying to flag my video for child abuse and thumbs it down. Make her pay, kill her, make her die, she's will be done, she's a c*unt, she's a ugly dumb bi*ch. That's just evil. I think I am a nice person  who really wouldn't wanna hurt anyone or make anyone sad or upset. So, knowing I really hurt peoples feelings really does make me sad but I have feelings too and I do have a heart too. The things said about me, my morals, my family, my face/body and life was crossing the line and was not something I needed in my life and mind.

I started making videos to talk about beauty.. a place where you'd think women would uplift each other and help each other but it has turned into a ugly, ugly place. A place where I don't think I wanna be anymore.
I still plan on making a video about this because not everyone reads my blog... but will start blogging again... in time.

I'm very sorry if I disappointed anyone but it was really not my intent and it was not my intent for anyone to feel lied to...it was a dumb mindless mistake and I was smashed into the ground for it.

Much love,
Sarah

Quick Update!

I feel like I am so out of touch from the beauty community... my computer has been broken for 2 weeks and it's STILL in the shop! :( I really miss you guys, blogging, reading blogs, making videos, watching videos... I miss it all. Having been without a computer for a few weeks has been a peaceful time for me and I almost feel like it's been good for me to be away but stealing a few hours on the computer (borrowed from my mother in law) makes me can't wait to get back at doing what I love.

I love beauty products, helping women, and finding amazing products to review but my time away has taught me that I don't *need* a mountain of products in my life. I need ONE foundation, ONE mascara and a few of this and that here and there. It's so easy to get caught up in everything when you find something new and beautiful each day online, but for me... that's not what makes my world go round. So, while I can't wait to get back to blogging and making videos my time away has brought a new prospective... I need to focus on the things I do have (and love) and stop trying to find the next best thing. It's a liberating thing! ;)

Hope you all are having a wonderful night and I'll talk to you when I get my computer back!

Besos~

Dream interiors

This is non make up related but ah who cares? I always get asked what my decorating style is. To be honest...I have no idea. I have a certain style but I just have a name for it.
Here are some rooms I'd have in my house if money was no object. *swoon*
If you don't know, besides make up, decorating is another great love of mine.

*sigh*.... someday it all will come together.

note: these pictures are not of my house but one could only hope.

Lip color perfection- MAC Viva Glam V

I'll admit I wasn't the biggest fan of this lipstick at first. I felt it was a little too "frosty" for my liking but the more and more I wear it... the more and more I love it. It's a beautiful pink/mauve color with a brown base and a hint of sparkle (but the barely there kind). It glides on beautifully and is never streaky.

In my eyes this color is perfection! I'm so glad I gave it one more chance! :)

Have you tried this color? What did you think?

Have a wonderful night!
